This lesson consists of 2 examples, each a chorus long. In the video I demonstrate how to use the material from my drop2 lessons on a standard. If you haven’t already you can check them out via my lessons page.
The first example is a simple 1 or 2 voicings per chord example, demonstrating (and in the explanation discussing) how to find voicings and what the options are. The second example is more dense and shows how to make melodies and connect the different chords while comping. It also demonstrates how I translated some bebop cliches from piano to guitar and a few thoughts on making melodies with chords.
I play both choruses and go through each on in detail in the 37:50 minute long video.
